## Description

The 8" HDMI TFT Touch Display is an 8-inch IPS display module with 1024 x 768 resolution and an HDMI interface. It features a 4-wire resistive touch panel, 1000 cd/m² (nits) High Brightness, and a wide -20 ~ +70 (℃) operating temperature. With a 4:3 aspect ratio and IPS wide viewing angles, it suits industrial, embedded and HDMI touch display applications.

## Overview

### 8" XGA HDMI touch display, one part number

The 8" HDMI TFT Touch Display is a complete assembly: an 8-inch IPS panel at 1024 x 768, a 4-wire resistive touch panel over the front, and the driver board with the LED backlight driver on it. Video arrives over a standard HDMI cable and the module runs from a DC input.

At 1000 cd/m² (nits) it is rated High Brightness on our scale — twice our 500 cd/m² comparison baseline — in a 4:3 XGA format.

#### 1024 x 768 in a 4:3 format

XGA on a 4:3 panel gives 162.05 x 121.54 mm of active area at a 0.1583 mm pixel pitch — about 160 pixels per inch, so small type and thin plot lines stay clean at reading distance.

The IPS panel holds its colour and contrast when the screen is read from an angle, and 1000 cd/m² keeps it legible under bright interior lighting.

### Why a module instead of a bare panel

Built up from parts, this display would be a panel, a signal harness, a matching driver board, a backlight driver, a touch panel and a supply for all of it — each a separate part number, a separate supplier and a separate qualification to redo when one goes end-of-life. Here they are one assembly.

- One video cable. Standard HDMI in to a 1024 x 768 panel.

- Touch panel already fitted. The 4-wire resistive layer is assembled over the display at the factory, and its tail meets the 7TP-4WUSE00000 touch control board listed under accessories, which converts it to USB.

- Backlight driver included. The LED driver is part of the module, and the panel cable is fitted at the factory.

- One assembly to qualify. Panel, touch panel, driver board and backlight driver ship under one part number, from one supplier, with one revision history, and the matching touch control board is a single listed accessory.

### Resistive touch

A 4-wire resistive panel responds to pressure rather than to skin, so it registers a work glove, a stylus or the back of a tool the same way it registers a bare finger.

### Assembled and tested before shipment

Touch panel fitted, driver board mounted, panel and touch tails dressed, and every module functionally tested before it ships.

The board is part of the module part number, so panel, touch panel and board revisions move together and changes are notified under our ECN process.
