## Overview

### A 7" IPS panel on LVDS, -30 ~ +80 ℃

This 7" TFT Display is a bare panel: a 7-inch IPS panel at 800 x 480 with its own driver circuitry, an LVDS interface, the LED backlight driver on the panel and a 6.8 mm body.

At 1000 cd/m² (nits) it is rated High Brightness on our scale — twice a standard 500 cd/m² panel — over a -30 ~ +80 (℃) range in both operation and storage.

#### IPS across a 152.4 mm wide window

The active area is 152.4 x 91.44 mm on a square 0.1905 mm pixel, and IPS holds colour and contrast well off-axis, so the image reads the same square on or from the side.

The -30 ~ +80 (℃) range applies in both operation and storage, so the same part covers a cold start and a hot cabinet.

### Straight onto your board

800 x 480 across that active area is about 133 pixels per inch. The panel takes the image over LVDS, direct from the display output on an SBC, a SoM or an FPGA.

- No conversion stage. LVDS arrives at the panel as it leaves the host, with no bridge or scaler board in the path.

- Driver circuitry on the panel. The host supplies the pixel data and the timing. The datasheet gives the interface timings and the panel's supply and control lines.

- Fewer conductors than parallel RGB. Differential pairs instead of a wide parallel bus, so the run from the host board to the panel is a small number of conductors.

- Backlight driver on the panel. The LED driver is part of the panel; the rail comes from the host board.
