## Description

The 5" TFT Touch Display is a 5-inch IPS display module with 800 x 480 resolution and TTL connectivity. It integrates a 4W RTP touch panel and delivers 400 cd/m² (nits), rated Standard Brightness, across a wide -20 ~ +70 (℃) operating range. With a 16:9 aspect ratio and IPS wide viewing angles, it suits industrial, embedded and TTL touch display applications.

## Overview

### A 5" panel with 4-wire resistive touch

This 5" TFT Touch Display is a bare panel with a touch layer: a 5-inch IPS panel at 800 x 480 with its own driver circuitry, a parallel TTL interface, and a 4-wire resistive touch panel over the front.

At 400 cd/m² (nits) it is specified for indoor and panel-mounted equipment, in a 4.25 mm body.

#### Touch laminated over an 800 x 480 panel

The resistive layer is assembled over the display at the factory, so the glass, the backlight and the touch arrive as one part number at a 0.135 mm pixel pitch.

IPS holds colour and contrast well off-axis, so the image reads the same square on or from the side.

### Straight onto your board

The panel takes parallel RGB direct from the display controller on an SBC, an MCU or a system-on-module, and the touch layer brings out its own 4-wire tail.

- No conversion stage. Parallel RGB arrives at the panel as it leaves the display controller, with no bridge or scaler board in the path.

- Driver circuitry on the panel. The host supplies the pixel data and the timing — clock, sync and data enable. The datasheet gives the interface timings and the panel's supply and control lines.

- Touch is a 4-wire analog tail. X+, X−, Y+ and Y− come out on the touch panel's own tail and go to a touch controller — an IC on your board reading over I2C or SPI, an MCU's own ADC channels, or a USB touch controller — ask us what suits the host.

- 4.25 mm panel body. The glass, backlight and touch stack, with the LED backlight driven from your board.

### Resistive touch

A 4-wire resistive layer responds to pressure rather than to a conductive touch, so a work glove, a stylus or the back of a tool registers as readily as a bare finger.
