## Description

The 5" HDMI TFT Touch Display is a 5-inch IPS display module with 800 x 480 resolution and HDMI connectivity. It integrates a PCAP touch panel and delivers 850 cd/m² (nits), rated Enhanced Brightness, across a wide -30 ~ +70 (℃) operating range. With a 16:9 aspect ratio and IPS wide viewing angles, it suits industrial, embedded and HDMI touch display applications.

## Overview

### 5" HDMI touch display, one part number

The 5" HDMI TFT Touch Display is a complete assembly: a 5-inch IPS panel at 800 x 480, a projected-capacitive touch sensor behind a black-bordered cover glass, and the driver board with the LED backlight driver on it. Video arrives over a standard HDMI cable, touch returns over USB, and the module runs from a DC input.

At 850 cd/m² (nits) it is rated Enhanced Brightness on our scale.

#### 188 PPI behind a flat glass front

800 x 480 across a 108 x 64.8 mm active area gives a pixel pitch of 0.135 mm, about 188 pixels per inch.

The front is a 1.1 mm cover glass with a black printed border and a clear window over the display, and projected-capacitive touch works directly on it.

### Why a module instead of a bare panel

Built up from parts, this display would be a panel, a signal harness, a matching driver board, a backlight driver, a touch sensor, a touch controller and a supply for all of it — each a separate part number, a separate supplier and a separate qualification to redo when one goes end-of-life. Here they are one assembly.

### Assembled and tested before shipment

Touch sensor and cover glass assembled as one front, driver board mounted, cables fitted and dressed, and every module functionally tested before it ships.

The board, the sensor and the glass are part of the module part number, so their revisions move together and changes are notified under our ECN process.
