It takes video directly from a host display controller, with no converter stage in between. At 1100 cd/m² (nits) it is rated High Brightness on our scale — roughly twice a standard 500 cd/m² panel — which is what carries a touch screen in an open cab or a bright outdoor position. ![](https://digiwise.asia/api/uploads/7036f67ba95b4ce1b9a14fd0847ecd18.png) #### 1100 cd/m² with resistive touch At 1100 cd/m² the picture stays readable through the touch layer in an open cab or a bright outdoor position. IPS holds colour and contrast well off-axis, so the image reads the same square on or from the side. ### Straight onto your board 480 x 272 on a 95.04 x 53.856 mm active area gives a 0.198 mm pixel — about 128 pixels per inch. Parallel RGB arrives at the panel as it leaves the display controller, with no bridge or scaler board in the path. - Driver circuitry on the panel. The host supplies the pixel data and the timing — clock, sync and data enable. The datasheet gives the interface timings and the panel's supply and control lines. - Touch is a 4-wire analog tail. X+, X−, Y+ and Y− come out on the touch panel’s own tail and go to a touch controller — an IC on your board reading over I2C or SPI, an MCU's own ADC channels, or our 4-wire USB touch control board. - 4 mm panel body.
