The 12.1" Open Frame HDMI Touch Display is a 12.1-inch IPS display module with 1024 x 768 resolution and HDMI connectivity. ## Overview

### A 12.1" open-frame touch module for bright installations

The 12.1" Open Frame HDMI Touch Display is a complete touch module in an open frame: a 12.1-inch IPS panel driven to 1300 cd/m², a projected-capacitive sensor bonded to the cover glass with optically clear resin, the driver board, and a chassis with mounting flanges top and bottom so it can be built into an enclosure of your own.

Video arrives over a standard HDMI cable, touch returns over USB, and the module runs from a single DC supply. There is no LVDS harness to specify, no driver board to match to the panel and no separate touch controller to fit.

#### 1300 cd/m² with a bonded front

1300 cd/m² is high-brightness class — well over twice a standard 500 cd/m² indoor module — and it holds a 12.1" screen legible in a workshop, a glazed lobby or a bright public space.

The touch sensor and cover glass are bonded to the panel with optically clear resin (OCR), a liquid bond that suits a thick front glass and leaves no internal air gap to scatter light between the layers or to collect condensation.

The module is built with an ambient light sensor, so the backlight tracks the light falling on the screen rather than holding one fixed level.

### Why a module instead of a bare panel

A bare 12.1" panel needs a touch sensor sourced and bonded, an LVDS harness, a matching driver board and a backlight driver before it shows anything. Each is a separate part number, a separate supplier and a separate qualification to redo when one goes end-of-life. This module arrives as one tested assembly with mounting flanges, ready to build in behind the housing you design around it.

- One video cable. Standard HDMI in — the output that industrial PCs, SBCs and media players already have.

- One touch cable. USB, straight to the host; no touch controller board to fit or to power.

- One board. The backlight and the panel cable are wired and fitted at the factory.

#### Assembled and tested before shipment

Touch sensor and cover glass bonded, driver board mounted, cables fitted and dressed, and every module functionally tested before shipment.

The board and the bonded front are part of the module part number, so their revisions are controlled together and changes are notified under our ECN process. A change of bonding adhesive would mean re-qualifying the optics, so it is ours to control and to notify.
