## Description

The 10.4" Open Frame HDMI Touch Display is a 10.4-inch IPS display module with 1024 x 768 resolution and HDMI connectivity. It integrates a PCAP touch panel and delivers 2000 cd/m² (nits), rated Sunlight Readable, across a wide -30 ~ +70 (℃) operating range. With a 4:3 aspect ratio and IPS wide viewing angles, it suits industrial, embedded and HDMI touch display applications.

## Overview

### Built to stay readable in daylight

The 10.4" Open Frame HDMI Touch Display is a sunlight-readable touch module: a 10.4-inch IPS panel driven to 2000 cd/m², a projected-capacitive sensor bonded to a thick cover glass with optically clear resin, and an open-frame chassis with fixing flanges so it can be built into an enclosure of your own.

Two things carry this in sun: 2000 cd/m² and a bonded front with no internal air gap to scatter daylight back between the layers.

#### 2000 cd/m² with a bonded front

The panel is rated 2000 cd/m² typical — sunlight-readable on our scale, and four times a typical 500 cd/m² indoor module. The touch sensor and cover glass are bonded to it with optically clear resin (OCR), a liquid bond that suits a thick front glass and leaves no air gap to reflect light or to collect condensation.

The module is built with an ambient light sensor, so the backlight dims automatically with the light falling on it — comfortable from full sun down to night use, and easier on the backlight at the same time.

### Why a module instead of a bare panel

A bare 10.4" panel needs a touch sensor sourced and bonded, an LVDS harness, a matching driver board and a backlight driver before it shows anything. Each is a separate part number, a separate supplier and a separate qualification to redo when one goes end-of-life. This module arrives as one tested assembly with fixing flanges, ready to build in behind the housing you design around it, and where sealing or an ingress rating is part of the requirement we can quote the housing alongside it.

- One video cable. Standard HDMI in — the output that industrial PCs, SBCs and media players already have.

- One touch cable. USB, straight to the host; no touch controller board to fit or to power.

- One board. The backlight and the panel cable are wired and fitted at the factory.

- One assembly to qualify. Your EMC, thermal and vibration testing is run against a single module instead of a stack of parts from different vendors.

#### Assembled and tested before shipment

Touch sensor and cover glass bonded, driver board mounted, cables fitted and dressed, and every module functionally tested before shipment.

The board and the bonded front are part of the module part number, so their revisions are controlled together and changes are notified under our ECN process. A change of bonding adhesive would mean re-qualifying the optics, so it is ours to control and notify rather than something you meet in an incoming batch.
